Apprentice/Journeyman Carpenter:

Finley and Sons Builders is actively seeking a motivated apprentice/journeyman carpenter with foundational carpentry skills, including blueprint reading, woodworking tool operation, and a commitment to construction safety. This role is designed for an individual aspiring to build a long-term career in the remodeling industry, with the goal of becoming a Project Manager.

• 1-3 years of experience preferred

Responsibilities:

As an apprentice/journeyman transitioning to a Project Manager role, you will be involved in various aspects of residential construction and remodeling projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials using power tools and hand tools
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings, as needed
• Installing cabinetry and flooring
• Frame windows, doors, closets, and other structures
• Trim, windows, doors, and install hardware
• Reading building plans for carpentry specifications
• Using power tools for masonry, lumber, and concrete preparation
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Demolishing fixtures for remodeling projects
• Creating foundational structures
• Ability to adapt to change
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
